The importance of a brake fluid flush.

The importance of a brake fluid flush.

Brake fluid flushes are vital for many reasons.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air over time, and this moisture can lead to corrosion within the braking system, causing damage to brake components and reducing braking effectiveness.
Fresh brake fluid ensures optimal brake performance. It maintains consistent hydraulic pressure within the brake system, which is crucial for reliable stopping power and pedal feel.

Regular flushing helps prevent corrosion and extends the life of brake system components such as calipers, master cylinders, wheel cylinders, and ABS modulators.

For these reasons, it’s generally recommended to flush it every 2 years, regardless of mileage. Additionally, if you notice any signs of brake fluid contamination, such as a dark or cloudy appearance (which can be seen by opening the hood, locating the reservoir, opening the cap, or by coming to see us.), it’s wise to have it flushed sooner rather than later to prevent potential issues.
